From my experiences on NASIOC, Subarism, ClubWRX, and talking to various Subie Freaks across the country, the general consensus is that there’s much love for all types of cars, whether Subaru or not. Why?

Now I can’t say all Subie Freaks aren’t fanboys, but I’m pretty sure it’s a small percentage. Most Subie Freaks can appreciate a car for what it is…regardless of brand. Examples can be seen at local Subaru meets across the country. Not one meet that I’ve discussed here had a “strictly Subaru affair” rule. In fact, several other cars other than Subaru can be found at these meets. And take a look at NASIOC for example. You can find various positive threads about non Subaru cars with members of the community chiming in on their thoughts as well. Even when the occasional “Subaru fanboy bashes a non Subaru car” thread pops up, if the car is actually not a piece of junk at all, you can bet the community will give their thoughts, which are quite opposite of the original poster’s.

So I guess you can say, while we are Subie Freaks, we are also general car enthusiast as wel!.
